Florist Resort Information

In the heart of the Mae Nam Beach, famous for its seven km stretch of beach lies this resort. Fisherman's Village, Big Buddha and the beach of Bophut is nearby as is the pier. The best way to explore the island is by renting a motorcycle or a jeep, both of which are available at the Florist Resort. It gives guests the freedom to visit the popular Chaweng Beach, yet be away from the crowds when you so wish. Just outside the resort are restaurants and bars, with excellent beachside dining options available. Golf enthusiasts will be pleased with the location as the area includes the only 18 hole golf course on the island. The rooms are extra spacious, all with balconies from which to enjoy stunning views. Florist Resort provides an excellent accommodation choice is Mae Nam, and is sure to fast become a crowd puller.

Good: Quiet. Close to the French wine bar and a great Italian restaurant. On the beach.
Bad: During the off season, they do their remodeling so there is some construction noise. Also some things are closed during the off season.
   

Comment: Based on the website photos, I chose the standard room, which turned out to be rather small and dreary so we up graded to the larger room with a better balcony and access to the pool. The room didn't have many amenities, but if you just asked they would bring you an electric hot water pot, cups, lounge chairs, etc. Breakfast is pretty bad, so try to find another place to eat!
   
Restaurant Tip: Go to Sonja's for the giant western breakfast. It is near the traffic light and the food (and Sonja) are fabulous!

Good: The resort is quiet and very beautiful.
Bad: The lightings of the small road leading to the resort needs some improvement.
   

Comment: The resort is situated next to the sea and it is very well maintain. It is not expensive and the service is excellent. The reception is very helpful and they really tried their best for the guest. It is very accessible to small shops and dinning out. I will definately come back.
   
Restaurant Tip: There are many small resturants outside the resort and they are generally inexpensive.
