Koh Samui Island Tour / Safari

When going on a Koh Samui island safari tour you will notice that geographically a high percentage of Koh Samui is high and hilly and without roads or amenities. But this also means that most of this is totally unspoiled, and there are many delightful natural sights to see off the beaten track.

You could go adventuring by yourself by hiring a jeep. However, you won't have the expertise and experience of the local tour companies to fall back on. It's no fun being stuck with a broken jeep and lost in the jungle!

Tour packages offer four wheel drive open air vehicles to explore Koh Samui's tropical forest and the five or so mountain top viewpoints, some of which are 600 meter above sea level.

At sea level, too, dotted around the coast, Koh Samui has more than its fair share of unusual local activities and interesting places to visit.

Most of the tour companies on Koh Samui operate out of the Chaweng/Lamai areas, but the majority of these will arrange a minibus to pick you up from and return you back to your hotel afterwards. The dive tour companies are not considered here, as they form a whole separate genre.

Ask your hotel concierge for tour operator recommendations and find the outings that appeal to you. Every tour company offer their own combination of half and full day tour attractions and they vary in price between 900 - 1600 Baht.
