Koh Samui Shows

Don't expect it to be like Las Vegas - but if you wanted that you wouldn't be looking at Koh Samui.
But there is a wide range of nightlife, although you'll find that most of the shows are around Chaweng or Lamai.

Nearly all resorts offer evening shows several nights a week (all welcome) plus you can find Thai dance and classical life-size puppets, ladyboy cabaret and even buffalo fights.

Koh Samui Muay Thai

This is Thailand's version of kick boxing, but with more ritual and ceremony. There are venues in Chaweng and Lamai.

Koh Samui Cabaret

In Thailand, 'cabaret' is the exclusive arena of the Kingdom's 'third sex' - ladyboys - and there are several shows to see in Chaweng.

Koh Samui Cinema

Found at the Tesco Lotus complex on the edge of Chaweng. Modern and comfortable and a choice of three screens.

Koh Samui Thai Dance

To an untrained eye it all looks the same, but see if you can spot the difference between the Classical styles and Ponglang.

Koh Samui Buffalo Fighting

It's OK - it's not like bull fighting! On Samui this is much more relaxed. They push each other until one gets bored and walks off.
